Description of character traits, text from the owner, Ms. Maraike Hohls:
"Auri" is a playful, outgoing, and athletic dog who always wants to be with her owners. She is incredibly cuddly and affectionate.
She lives in a pack with two male American Bulldogs (50 kg and 35 kg), whom she has a firm grip on.
At the door, she is quite attentive and watchful, but is friendly towards every visitor and is cheerful and sometimes a bit silly.
"Auri" is very social with other dogs – whether on a leash or off-leash, whether male or female – and loves racing games with her best friend Sally, a Viszla. She enjoys running alongside bikes and often goes on rides of 15 km or more, trotting happily and casually alongside.
"Auri" is being trained as a man-tracking dog and has already passed two of three possible tests (as of September 2025). The third test is planned for fall 2025. When trailing, she is highly focused and very confident, although she sometimes moves a bit fast.
On our last vacation in Croatia, she was an unproblematic travel companion, calm and relaxed in the car, in restaurants, and in every new accommodation. After a short time, the vacation apartment naturally became her new home – the main thing is that she's there.
For me as the owner, "Auri" is simply a dream dog.
