Our Christi ORMOND BB - Litter is born

On August 15th, 2021, the 62nd day of pregnancy, our "Christi ORMOND BB - Litter" was born with 4 puppies.
Unfortunately, the birth did not go as smoothly as we are used to. Our sweet mother female "Christi ORMOND Question of Honor" (called Emma) gave birth to a white-black female without any complications shortly after midnight on Sunday morning at 00.26. After no further puppies were born until Sunday morning at 6.00, it was obvious that something could not be right, so we contacted our veterinary clinic. "Emma" was relaxed the whole time and she was doing very well. After enough "staff" could be gathered in the veterinary clinic early on Sunday morning at 7:00 am, as it was clear that If a caesarean section were necessary, this was carried out at "Emma". I myself was able to actively help bring the puppies into life during the operation. There were 7 more pups in the two uterine horns. Immediately after opening the abdomen, the obstacle to childbirth became apparent and explained why the birth could not proceed naturally. The mother dog's two uterine horns alternately empty. Unfortunately, one puppy from the left and one from the right horn pushed each other towards the exit to the cervix and "wedged" themselves so that no progress was possible. For me, too, it was an impressive experience after 18 years of breeding and 28 litters born without any problems Throwing in to see my first caesarean section live. My big thanks go to the first-class, well-coordinated and experienced team at the veterinary clinic.

Joy and sorrow are often close together. Unfortunately, four of the puppies didn't make it, but the new mom "Emma" is doing very well. Two of the four remaining puppies are still very weak, we are trying our best. All of them have a great birth weight and "Emma’s" caesarean section wound is healing very well, which the follow-up check at the vet on Tuesday confirmed.

Unfortunately, the two weaker pups didn't make it and we had to say goodbye to them, the other two girls are gaining weight and we hope that they are all over the hill now.

"Christ's ORMOND Question of Honor" (called Emma) masters her cause very well and enjoys her mother role very much. Dear Mama "Emma", we thank you! We thank you for the many congratulations on the birth that we have received!
